Poetry + Math = Digital x Art

I am a poet and a mathematician who is in constant search for patterns, which is clearly reflected in my artwork. I think of the drawings that I generate as rhythms written in a universal language. In fact, each artwork on this site is a digital image generated by a mathematical function, named like a poem, and colored in a way that relates its shape to its description. 

The way I think of my work is that I don't draw anything. I am just a tireless wanderer on an endless journey of discovery. What keeps me going is this irresistible urge to keep rolling the dice until a discernible pattern emerges from the dark background. Like a fisher patiently waiting for the next catch, completely helpless but always full of anticipation.

As for the black background, it's the insignia of my Mystic Art. I think of it as the infinite dark space and of the colorful patterns that decorate it as planets, stars and galaxies, all connected by a cosmic web which can only be seen by the mind's eye.
